Re: Could the ABCB be deemed liable for needless deaths and injuries?

(NOW IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN)

The ABCB's has exercised its choice to remain silent on this vital life-safety issue.

The Foundation continues to exercise its choice to bring this matter to the attention of the public.  This Email, and edited (for brevity) copy from previous emails, is live on our website in the 'News' section, i.e. it is now in the public domain.

Please answer questions a ~ c copied below, i.e.

  1.             a) Did Mr Bukowski from NIST meet with the ABCB in person and provide information to the ABCB about smoke
alarms as claimed by Mr Ray Loveridge in my conversations with him late last year?,

  2.             b) Was the meeting in Australia or in the US?, and, if not in person,

  3.             c) Did Mr Bukowski influence the decision making process of the ABCB to reject FP2's second PIA which would
have effectively mandated photoelectric smoke alarms in all new Australian homes and rental accommodation?

You may like to go HERE and discover how the credibility of NIST’s 2004 smoke alarm research and therefore it’s researcher, Mr Richard Bukowski has been challenged.  No matter what Mr Bukowski may have told the ABCB, or what documentation may have been provided by him, if you examine the three films on our new HOME page, and the overwhelming evidence, you will find, beyond reasonable doubt, that the ABCB has been misled.

If the ABCB takes action with a Disclosure Letter - you will confirm what the technical experts of Standards Australia’s FP002 Committee has been warning the ABCB about for several years - that the ionization smoke alarms that the ABCB allows in Australian and New Zealand homes under the present Building Code of Australia, do NOT activate until unacceptable levels of smoke as evidenced by AS2362.17 scientific testing conducted by the SSL/CSIRO since 1993.

We have outlined the issue with the ABCB on our site - winter is approaching - please respond before more lives are needlessly lost.

Thank you.

Sincerely

Dear Mr Donaldson & Mr Balch

Re: Could the ABCB be deemed liable for needless deaths and injuries?

Mr Ray Loveridge advised me during a telephone conversation late last year that Mr Richard Bukowski of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) had provided information to the ABCB that had influenced the ABCB's decision making process on this issue.  Please advise:

a) Did Mr Bukowski meet with the ABCB in person and provide information to the ABCB about smoke alarms as claimed by Mr

Loveridge?,

  1. b)Was the meeting in Australia or in the US?, and, if not in person,

c) Did Mr Bukowski influence the decision making process of the ABCB to reject FP2's second PIA which would have effectively mandated photoelectric smoke alarms in all new Australian homes and rental accommodation?

Mr Loveridge tried to assure me that NIST's ''Dr Bukoski" (sic) is a man of absolute integrity.  Some people disagree.  May I suggest you

examine the document  'Far Worse then the Pedophile Priests' on 'The Evidence' page of our website.  When you read this document you

will discover background information on Mr Richard Bukowski, the US world expert Mr Loveridge alleges has influenced the ABCB to reject the advice of the panel of technical experts of Standards Australia's FP2 Committee.

Is the ABCB justified in continuing to block Standard Australia's resolve to mandate photoelectric smoke alarms in Australasian homes?

Gentlemen, may I humbly suggest a simple way to unequivocally answer this question?  This will allow you and all recipients of this message to discover for yourselves, the truth about the ionization smoke alarms supposedly protecting your own families.  Please download the 'Disclosure Letters' found on the home page of our website, fill in the blanks from the information on the back of your ionisation smoke alarms, and discover the facts for yourselves.

The 'Disclosure Letters' are at: www.TheWorldFireSafetyFoundation.org

Thank you.
