Next we are going to examine smoke alarm response times and fail rates.

We will look at what most people look to first, the tests by NIST, including their most recent tests.

However we will also look at what many people think is the most thorough testing - that done by some Universities.

      detectors” is the Texas A&M Study which was a 3 year
      study done in conjunction with Colorado State University
      which was a “Risk Analysis of Residential Fire Detector
      Performance”
